Fall Color Tour
SRI to offer Fall Excursions in Northern Michigan
This October, experience the autumn foliage of Northern Michigan in style with two upcoming excursions as part of the Steam Railroading Institute’s Fall Color Tours. Take in the color drenched beauty aboard our vintage passenger coaches or historic cabooses pulled by a Great Lakes Central DIESEL Locomotive. Enjoy a relaxing ride while visiting with friends, playing cards, snapping some pictures, or just settling in with a refreshing beverage and snack from our lounge car.
On October 10th, the Northern Arrow will depart at 10:00 am from the railroad depot at the Kalkaska Historical Museum foran all-day trip to Petoskey with a return at approximately 7:00 pm.
Once arriving in Petoskey, passengers can take advantage of what this unique town has to offer by visiting the local businesses or grabbing a bite to eat. Information on activities and highlighted destinations will be provided on board the train inbound.
Also take in the beautiful October fall landscape while enjoying the fun of train travel with our Countryside Tour, provided upon arrival in Petoskey! This short side trip will be a ROUND TRIP; departing at 2:00 pm and returning from the same location at approximately 3:00 pm.
