The National Trout Festival is an annual festival held in Kalkaska, Michigan to celebrate the opening of trout season. The National Trout Festival has been running for more than 80 years.
There's fun for everyone at Kalkaska's Annual National Trout Festival. For a full week every April Kalkaska celebrates the opening of trout season with trout fishing contests, special breakfasts, children's contests, parades, themed dinners, crafts and on and on!
Opening Ceremonies get it started at the Trout Memorial including the Trout King and Queen Coronation.
